Our House is a group of people living together to follow a simple program aimed at freeing themselves from their addictions to alcohol and drugs. As part of their outreach to street people, members of Our House meet every Thursday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in St. Paul’s Church Hall. All are welcome.
Norm Sharkey, founder and Program Director of “Our House West Coast Society” (Our House) has been circling the seawall on inline skates this summer; he is almost finished with less than 1000 km left to skate. Norm is skating to raise funds to buy a home for Our House and to raise awareness about addiction and the solution that Our House offers. Norm plans to cover roughly the distance of Canada – 5,350 kilometers – over the course of five months. He has already skated over 4225 kilometers. Please donate and offer a prayer for someone in our parish who feels called to help the most needy in our community.
Donations to can be made by mail and tax receipts are issued for donations over 20 dollars. Mail to: Our House West Coast Society, 1130 Jervis Street, Vancouver, BC, V6E 2C7.
