Support our Projects
From time to time the Advocacy Office of St. Paul’s holds annual projects/initiatives to help our low income community. We encourage you to help support these projects. These projects/events will also appear in our events webpage. Our annual projects include:
1. A Gift for Christmas Initiative – Primarily to bring the christmas spirit to our needy, disabled, homeless , low income seniors and other vulnerable members of society.
2. Connecting the Ends – Participation in the Homelessness Action Week of the City of Vancouver – Every year the City of Vancouver cooperates with the communities and organization to help increase awareness of the homelessness problem in our society. At. Paul’s Advocacy Office and First Baptist Church work together to bring all needed services and food to our homeless friends.
Monetary donations no matter how small will help us.
Online via Canada helps.org: You can donate to the Advocacy Office through the canadahelps.org (look for Parish of St. Paul Vancouver – in the drop box select Advocacy Office).
Cheque: You can mail a cheque to St. Paul’s Anglican Church (1130 Jervis Street, Vancouver, BC V6E 2C7) and state that it is for the Advocacy Office in the Memo line of the cheque.
We are always looking for volunteers who can help in the office as a receptionist or an advocate. Please contact Ellen Silvergieter at 604.683.4287.
Experience is not necessary, but would be an asset. Training will be provided.
